1/72 Hasegawa F-14B Prototype

This is my second entry for the group build and probably my most ambitious project to date, thanks to the white paint scheme. Man I hate white paint...

Anyhow, this is the Hasegawa F-14 prototype kit built straight out of the box, apart from me substituting the Hasegawa open nozzles for some open Fujimi ones, which I think look much better. General construction was straight forward, it was when i came to the paint scheme that I had a few difficulties. Did I mention that I hate painting white?  Well once the dreaded white paint was sprayed on to my satisfaction I laid on the decals, most of which went on without any problems, however, a couple of the decals were well undersized and didn't well at all! Once this headache was sorted out I gave it a final coat of future to make it nice and shiny.

All in all not my best build, but not my worst. Will I be painting an all white plane again in the near future? Hell no!!!!
