Monogram 1/72 F-14A, VX-4 Evaluators

This is my fourth and final entry for this build; a 1/72nd Monogram snap-tite F-14A in VX-4 'Evaluators' high-vis markings. The kit is OOB, with after-market Superscale decals (the decals originally depicted a VX-9 F-14D, but some alterations and careful hand-painting work solved the problems) donated by a fellow ARC member whose name I can't remember, and a chin pod borrowed from a Hasegawa kit to replace the pitiful 'blister' molded onto the plane. I've had this kit for several years, sitting unpainted with the horrific self-adhesive kit decals, but this build inspired me to bring this kit to it's present glory, removing the toy-like 'stickers' and painting the kit with Model Masters & Testors enamels and acrylics, with Testors dullcote on the decals on the flat areas, namely the wing fold overlaps. The loadout is OOB; three Sparrows on the fuselage stations (the 4th station ahead of the arrester hook was occupied by the display stand). This is also my only 'in-flight' entry, the other three being static, parked aircraft.
